About Us
Matthew Koch has been in the tile and stone industry for 30+ years. He originally opened Distinctive Tile & Stone in Seattle in 1998 after discovering that stonework was the perfect outlet for his design experience and passion. As a design-based company that works closely with homeowners, Distinctive Tile & Stone helps you bring your imagined projects to life. The company’s simple philosophy has always been to provide the best quality products at the best possible price.
Matt holds his Masters in International Market Development and has worked with Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and Calwer Decken-und Tuchfabriken, one of the world’s oldest textile companies. As well as operating Distinctive Tile & Stone, Matt works with Ceramicas Calaf s/a., a Spanish based tile manufacturer in the development of North America and Asian markets.
